On the 29th of April 2023 our Association invited all Life Members, past & present Presidents, Secretaries, Treasurers, Junior, Colts, State & National representatives along with many valued contributors to lunch at the Bunbury Dolphin Discovery Centre.

We were also honoured to have Jaysen De San Miguel, our City of Bunbury Mayor, join us for a celebratory drink before new baby duties called-Many thanks for your support Jaysen.

Our Committee transformed a Function room by putting together an astounding display of newspaper articles from years gone by, trophies past and present, club, state and national team jackets and other memorabilia, with some great contributions received from Ailsa Donovan, Chris Hardwick, Jan Morgan, Billy Wauhop and Dennis Evans to name a few.

With thanks to the staff at the Dolphin Discovery Centre, Guests enjoyed a sumptuous assortment of dishes to keep the tummy worms happy whilst they caught up with old friends and listened to some recollections from Life member, Robert Italiano, and past players Jan Morgan and Greg Vellacott.

A plaque to commemorate 50 years since the Badminton Centre opened was unveiled to be erected inside our foyer at the Centre.

The function concluded at 4pm, whereupon a number of Guests retired to the excellent Sunset Bar at the Dolphin Discovery Centre, overlooking the stunning Koombana Bay, to continue to enjoy the refreshments available.

A huge thanks to all Guests for attending with "Hats Off" to the efforts of the Committee for all their time and effort put into the preparation for the day. Thanks also to Barbara Brown from the Collie Badminton Association for being our Official photographer and recording many of the moments of the afternoon.
