A great start to the winter season with a couple of nail-biting ties and a comprehensive win after the completion of the first round.

Bunbury Appliances snuck in a win tonight over JJSM's (soon to be renamed Smash and Dash) winning by only 21 points. John Hang cleaned up with wins in all 5 of his matches this evening whilst Joel and Taiyana put in solid contributions to help Bunbury Appliances get over the line.

SW Isuzu Smashers and Forrest Dental also had a great tussle with only one win separating the victor and the vanquished. Forrest Dental welcomed two new players to pennants-NJ and Chris C-with the latter showing he can take it up to the opposition by winning four of his five games. NJ battled hard against young gun, Koby, with the latter getting the better of NJ-this time!

Rosemont Park showed they will be a force to be reckoned with if their form tonight is any indication. They enjoyed a comprehensive win over a shell-shocked SWAT Team. It will be interesting to see whether the return of Thomas for Rosemont in the next round will affect their performance.
